Raven was a magnificent horse.  He was very elegant with uphill, light and scopey paces.  He showed a fabulous talent for lateral work.  He showed a wonderful overtrack in walk, his hocks came through brilliantly in trot and his canter was divine.  Raven started his competition career in 2011.  In the Young Horse Qualifyers he received a mark of 8 for his canter.  In his Novice tests he consistently was awarded a mark of 8 for his paces.  Numerous people complimented me on this amazingly beautiful horse.  Raven was on his way to having an amazing career.  Tragically, Raven died in his stable of unknown causes.  There was no sign of struggle and he had been as healthy and vibrant as ever the evening before.  He will be remembered forever as my 'special horse'.
