Willow is an outstanding mare. She has beautiful big floating paces. Under saddle, she was wonderfully strong through the back, making lateral and collected work easy and very expressive. She demonstrated a very calm and willing attitude to her work.

Willow was bred by Bangalow Creek Warmblood Stud. She has a fabulous pedigree being by Wolkentanz out of a Duntroon mare (Balmoral Dreaming). Wolkentanz was a Celle State Stud stallion by Weltmeyer and is described as having flowing, expressive, rhythmical movements along with correct confirmation and a wonderful mind. Duntroon is by Donnerhall and was vice-champion stallion of the Oldenburg approvals in 1993 and won the stallion performance test in Adelheidsdorf in 1994. Heath Ryan’s Beijing Olympic horse was Dundee by Duntroon. Willow is registered as a Hanoverian Pre-stud Book Mare.

Willow’s first foal was Bangalow Creek Romanov by Royal Hit in 2010, Reno is now starting Grand Prix work with Shania Madden. He has a wonderful temperament and is very trainable.  He is showing a flare for the piaffe/passage work. He has phenomenal movement with a huge floating stride but still showing a very good ability to collect.  Willow's second foal, born Dec 2011, is Bangalow Creek Sangria.  He is by Sandro Hit and is sensational.  Sangria is black, is very uphill and has amazing big, springy paces. He was DNSW Advanced Horse of the Year in 2019.  He will compete Small Tour in 2020.

Willow's Charmuer foal, BC Chilli Pepper is currently competing for Bangalow Creek Warmbloods.  He will compete in the 6YO Young Horse in 2021.  Chilli, is also showing a very good trainability.  His flying changes and half pass is well established.  He is very focussed on his work and a pleasure to compete.

Possibly our most exciting Willow foal is BC Tigerlily by Toto Jnr.  Although only turning four, this mare is looking phenomenal.
