Success for Just Dance at Recent Championship Events

The NSW State Dressage Championships were held from the 9th to 12th September in Tamworth at the very impressive AELEC (Australian Equine and Livestock Exhibition Centre).  The weather at the beginning of the week was sensational with warm temperatures and not a rain cloud in sight.  It was hard to believe that the bleak weather forecast of cold temperatures and torrential rain for the weekend would come to fruition, but it did.  The pouring rain started and the arenas quickly turned to soup.  JD’s four beautiful white socks turned red with the mud, my white breeches and saddlecloth were covered in red spots, but JD is a little champion and he just ploughed on through.  We placed 5th and 6th in the Elementary tests and only just missed out on the Reserve Champion.  The weekend was fun despite the cold and the rain.

The following weekend it was off to Alexander Park for their Championships where JD won the Elementary Champion.  We won a beautiful rug donated by Pryde’s Easi Feeds and achieved our highest Elementry score to date – 68.2%.

Next we are off the National Dressage Championships at SIEC on the 28th of October where we intend to do even better.
